    The structure of management information in SNMP, MIB-II.

3)  SNMP PDUs and operations, BER the basic encoding rules.
     Data Modelling in SNMP, tables.

4)  Protocol analyzers. Network performance monitoring,
     MIB variables, The Rmon MIB, Fault management.

5)  Security in network management. SNMPv2/v3 and security,
     Hierarchical and distributed management

6)  Proxies, extensible agents , Agent-X/DPI The SNMP distributed protocol interface

7)  OSI network management and CMIP/CMIS.
     Object Oriented management databases, modelling and the GDMO.
