Installing the RadiSys ENP-2611
The following instructions assume that the relevant appliances (10BaseT/100BaseTX hub, and two PC's) are ready to run:
- Select and open a PC with a free 32-bit PCI slot. If possible, select the PC running the Linux OS.
- Install the ENP-2611 on the free 32-bit PCI slot (Figure 1a) using an anti-static wrist band to avoid damage caused by electro-static discharge.
- Connect the serial cable provided with the ENP-2611 to the serial port of the PC and the UART port (Figure 1b) of the ENP-2611.
- Connect an RJ45 Ethernet cable to the 10BaseT/100BaseTX hub one end, and the Ethernet debug port (Figure 1c ) of the ENP-2611 on the other.
- Connect an RJ45 Ethernet cable to the 10BaseT/100BaseTX Network Interface Card (NIC) of each PCs to the 10BaseT/100BaseTX hub.

You should now have a setup similar to that shown in Figure 2.
