Department of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University

The Department of Systems and Computer Engineering is experiencing rapid growth due to strong demand for our innovative programs. This includes the well-established undergraduate programs in Computer Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and the new undergraduate programs in Communications Engineering (launched fall 1998) and Software Engineering (launched fall 1999), as well as our four graduate programs (M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, M.Eng. in Telecommunications Technology Management, M.Sc. in Information and Systems Science). Please contact the chair at any time if your qualifications are appropriate to the teaching and research activities of the department. Currently advertised positions are:

Successful applicants are normally assigned a reduced teaching load during their first year, along with a sizable start-up research grant. The department is also exceptionally well equipped with research and teaching laboratories, many donated by high-technology companies such as Nortel Networks, Alcatel, Mitel, and Texas Instruments.
