Plug and Play Devices
“ A Plug-n-Play device is the one that is capable of configuring itself and other network components once plugged-in the existing network”
Windows ‘95 came up with the idea of Plug-n-Play hardware.
In Network Management, we need to extend the idea because of the constraints like:
- registry of all the network devices is not easy;
- no operating system available on network to handle automatic installation process
