Formally, network management can be defined as the process of controlling a complex data network so as to maximize its efficiency and productivity.
The International Organization for Standards has defined five key areas of network management. These are: configuration management, security management, performance management, accounting management, and fault management.
My project involves the investigation and application of mobile code as a means to manage faults on networks.
