Biography
Mohamed H. Ahmed
(S’97-AM’2001) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electronics and communications engineering from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 1990 and 1994 respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2001 from Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada.From 1991 to 1996, he has been working as a Teaching Assistant, in the Dept. of Electronics and Communications, Minia University, Minia, Egypt. From 1996 to 2000, he has been working as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, Carleton University, where he works now as a Senior Research Associate.
He won the Ontario Graduate Scholarship for Science and Technology (OGSST) in 1997 and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) in 1998, 1999, and 2000.
His research interests include wireless access techniques, resource management in wireless networks, smart antennas, 3G and 4G wireless systems, wireless Internet and multimedia services, and fixed wireless networks.
