Ask the Coach

Dear Coach:  I get water up my nose on backstroke.  What can I do?  Sneezy

Dear Sneezy: Get a nose clip! -- it will prevent water from going up your nose on backstroke and during flip turns.  Also, if you are sensitive to chlorine it will prevent post-workout sneezing.  Ensure that you get a nose clip which is tight enough to prevent all water from entering the nostrils.

Dear Coach: My bathing suit wears out so quickly, what do you recommend?  Need a Suit

Dear N. A. Suit: Thanks to George and Bernie, we have two copies of the latest Diffusion Aquasport (Montreal) catalog posted on the team bulletin board.  This catalog includes a number of polyester bathing suits that are great for training and last about a year!  They have a 1-800 number and their prices are reasonable.  If both copies are on the bulletin board, feel free to borrow one for a day or two -- but please return it!

Early Birds and Night Caps Notes

Are you interested in doing time trials during some workouts this term?  If so, let Lynn know and we'll work out a way to do time trials (probably one lane per workout), so that it won't disrupt the other swimmers.
