Winter Masters Groups
The Winter Masters sessions started on Mon Jan 5th or Tue Jan 6th.  Full details on all groups is available on the web site: http://carletonmasters.tripod.com.  There is still room in all groups except the 7:30am Masters (contact me if you are interested in this group -- spaces will be opening up when the 6:30am group starts up).  Note also that child safety supervision is full.  Athletics memberships can be purchased through the Athletics office in person (2nd floor) or via phone (520-4480) 8:30am-4:30pm M-F.  You can register for all programs in person/phone as per the hours above or on-line 24 hours a day at: http://www.carleton.ca/athletics/programs/index.html.  For pro-rated prices (if you are joining part way through the term) contact the office for details.  Note that you should always check in at the Tuck Shop and get a hand stamp or wristband.  This is to ensure that only members are accessing the facilities and will help keep your fees down.  If you are asked to leave your card at the Tuck Shop, please do so.  Your cooperation is appreciated!

Swimmer Notes

Hi from Dorothy:  Dorothy G (x-8:30am Earlybirds) recently spoke with Margaret K (8:30am Earlybirds).  She says hello to everyone and recently started swimming in Vancouver with a friend of Penny's (8:30am Earlybirds).

Brockville Masters Swimmer Obituary:  >From Ian Loughrey: Masters Swimming and TriRudy lost a member on Tuesday Feb 17th, 04 with the passing of Gord DiLabio of Brockville, after a long battle with cancer. I have known Gord for some time, as he was a member of the 1000 Islands Masters Swim Club, the Brockville Roadrunners club, and the Brockville Cycling club. He was always very upbeat and offered advice to me on a variety of training ideas/tips, etc.  He had not only completed several marathons, but Ironman races in Penticton, Lake Placid, and New Zealand. Gord was only 48 years of age. He will be sadly missed by many and my thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and three children. Remember to enjoy each and every day to the fullest everyone, and hug someone you love everyday.

Dear Coach:  Is the 6:30am Very Earlybirds more advanced than the 7:30am Earlybirds?  Another Earlybird
